Urban Design and Management
  Dr. Rasem Badran who graduated in Architecture from the Former West Germany in the late sixties, inherited and Steamed his talent from his father, a well-known Islamic Artist in the Middle East. Rasem was gifted in the ability of utilizing his inherited skills with the modern science of Architecture to breath life into the long forgotten Islamic Rich Architecture. For this, he is recognized in the Middle East as the Reference Encyclopedia of Modern Islamic Architecture.  
  His magnificent achievements are very much evident throughout the Middle East, and well recognized worldwide.  
  During his study in Germany he was very active and futuristic in his design approach. Some of his study projects have been published in the late sixties in Europe. In early seventies he was involved professionally in many prestigious projects in West Germany such as Munich Olympic Stadium Complex and others before he coming back to Jordan to explore the hidden values of the local culture. Badran’s works are based on a methodological approach in defining Architecture as a continuous dialogue between contemporary needs and historical inherited cultural values. 1979 Founding partner Dar Al-Omran

Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa is currently the Dean of Faculty of Urban Studies and Management, Vietnam National University (VNU), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He received a Doctorate degree in Urban Sociology from University of Moscow, Russia in 1990 and a Diploma in Urban Governance from University of the Philippines (UP) in 2001. He is an expert in Urban Regional Planning and Urban Management in Vietnam. He is also a permanent member of the Council of Planning and Architecture of HCMC. He has several publications including 10 reference books and articles on urban topics and is the head of some international and national research teams on urban development.

  Dr. Hassim Mat is an associate professor, in town and regional planning at the School of HBP. He began his academic career in USM in 1982. He graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Transportation Planning 1996, Masters of Science (Planning) in 1982 and Bachelor of Science (HBP) degree in1980. He is actively involved in research and consultancy work related to traffic impact assessment (TIA) study, road accident audit study and sustainable transportation planning study. He has written and presented several papers at international and local conferences and seminars. He is also actively involve in communities activities, as he is currently the Imam of Masjid Omar Ibnu Al Khatab Bayan Baru, Committee Member of Penang Transport Council (PTC), Corporate Member of Malaysian Institute of Planners (APPM) and Committee Member of Transport Science Society of Malaysia (TSSM).

Dr. Vilayphone Somsamone is a lecturer in the Tourism Area, and Head of the Tourism Management Department, Faculty of Economic and Tourism, Souphanouvong University. She is also a Research Professor of Korea Cooperation Center (KCC) in the same university. Her latest project is titled,‘The Establishment and Extension for Korean Studies Research Training: Toward Localization in Laos’.

Environment
  Prof. Dr. Ngai Weng Chan graduated in B.A. (Hons) Geography from the University of Malaya in 1977. He obtained an M.A. in Climatology & Meteorology, also from the University of Malaya in 1981. In 1995, he obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Hazards Management from Middlesex University in London, UK. He has worked in the Department of Geography, University of Malaya as a Tutor from 1977 to 1985. From 1986 to present, he has been with Universiti Sains Malaysia, first as a lecturer in 1986, and then as an Associate Professor in 1996, and as a full Professor since 2001. He has worked mostly on hydroclimatological aspects of water management in research and consultancy. From 2000-2001, he was a Fulbright Scholar at University of Memphis in the USA and from 2006-2007, he was a Visiting Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand. He has published more than 20 books and more than 100 papers in professional journals.  
  He was the winner of the Asia Water Management Excellence Awards 2010 Individual Category (National). Prof. Chan is affectionately nicknamed "Malaysia's Waterman".

Prof. Karl Wagner is a region-wide recognised scientist and consultant for universities and corporate organisations. During the past 10 years, he received wide international exposure and reputation in South-East-Asia. He is an HR-consultant in Germany, the Head in the department for Human Resource at Rosenheim / Universities of Applied Sciences of the GMA (Greater Munich Area). During his first sabbatical semester, he built up a team for the Singaporean based Zander Pte. Ltd. in the leading semi-conductor plant at Kuching / Malaysia. 2003 and 2004 he implemented the Balanced Score Card for the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia. Apart from his professorship, Prof. Wagner became an internationally operating consultant in management and taught diverse courses within MBA-, Master of Human Capital- and Ph.D.-programs at several universities in South-Eat-Asia.
To date, he has conducted customised consultancies in strategic management, team development and change management for corporate clients. 2007-2009, he served as a business consultant for the Senior Vice President at Open University Malaysia. Since 2009, he is entirely concerned with the transfer of European Green Building technology under tropical circumstances in Malaysia.

  Dr. Nguyen Luu Bao Doan is teaching in the Department of Urban Studies and Management at Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. He also serves as an Assistant Editor of the Real Estate Review, an American publication by Thomson Reuters - West. He can be contacted at nlbdoan@hcmussh.edu.vn.

Dr. Nguyen's general research interests include urban and regional planning, economic development, real estate, and built environment’s impacts. He has published single-authored and co-authored articles in Environment and Planning B, Economic Development Quarterly, and Urban Studies.

Hidefumi Imura is Professor at the Global Cooperation Institute for Sustainable Cities of Yokohama City University, and Senior Policy Advisor of Institute for Global Environmental Strategies. He studied statistical physics at the University of Tokyo. In 1974, he joined Japan Environment Agency, and then worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Yokohama Municipal Government. Having engaged in environmental policy making in national, international and local institutions, he moved to Kyushu University in 1988, where he was Professor at the Institute of Environmental Systems until August 2000. Then he was Professor for Environmental Systems Analysis and Planning, Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University until March 2010.
Prof. Imura has a wide range of expertise covering domestic and international environmental policy issues, environmental technologies, environmental economics, and environmental information. He has carried out extensive studies on environmental policy issues in China.

Public Health
  Dr. Aziah Daud is currently a Senior lecturer in Occupational Health (OHD) in the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She received her Masters degree in Community Medicine (Occupational Health) in Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2003. Research interests include: (1) Job Stress, (2) Workplace Violence, (3) Occupational Infectious Diseases- Leptospirosis.

Dr. Yasuhiro Kakiuchi was born in Wakayama, Japan. He is a medical doctor and a jurist. He was graduated from the School of Medicine at Yokohama City University in 2001, then went to the School of Law at Kyoto University where he received LL.B in 2003. He also received MPH at the School of Public Health of UC Berkeley and LL.M at the School of Law of University of Washington in 2005 and 2006 accordingly. His research interest includes Legal Medicine, Injury Epidemiology and Molecular Pathologic Epidemiology. His professional career includes a staff member of Ministry of Justice of Japan, a medical officer at Hachioji Medical Prison in Tokyo and a medical doctor at Yokohama City University Hospital. He has been involved in the Academic Consortium initiative at Yokohama City University since its starting at 2009.
